We had the privilege of catching up with our Luv Lou muse, Emily Nash, who we would say is sunshine in human form. An Australian model and content creator, Emily is also the founder of Melbourne-based studio, Sunny Studio. As a creative in the fashion space, we loved getting to know more about her personal style. What is your signature summer colour palette, and what frames compliment it best?
I am obsessed with anything chocolate brown, white & light denim for summer! The Dusty in Auburn is my current favourite for that cool girl vibe. A versatile colour way that compliments sooo many outfits! Pairing back with a matching denim set or a brown maxi skirt & simple tank for an effortless, comfy summer look.
How do you pick sunglasses that suit your face and staple wardrobe?
I think I’ve worn every frame shape possible and because of trial & error I’ve realised what styles I tend to gravitate towards and I stick with those shapes! Anything that makes me feel confident is how I know I’ve got the right pair to suit my face. My go-tos are oval shapes, cat eye & aviator styles. Also any frames with gold, they really add a touch of luxe to any outfit (especially when worn with all of my gold jewellery).
What is one trend you are excited to explore this summer?
Accessories are huge for me this summer! Changing up accessories for the same outfit can make a look so different, plus you get more wear! Chunky bangles, earring stacks, textured bags, anything gold and cool sunnies are my vibe this summer. I am also obsessed with the polka dot trend, it's a fun way to add prints into my wardrobe, I'm finding polka dots are quite versatile as well and can easily be paired back with pieces I already own.
