Issue 4 - The Petra with Eloise Smith

Meet Eloise Smith, the woman who believes staying effortlessly low maintenance is actually a full-time job (a very high maintenance one, at that). In this edition of the Women We Luv series, Eloise shares her honest takes on the trends she's loving and leaving behind this autumn/winter, why the elevated bomber jacket deserves a permanent spot in your wardrobe, and the one timeless piece she's still searching for. Her current eyewear obsession? The Petra - a sleek, slim style she swears elevates every single outfit. From movement routines to mushroom-toned sunnies, Eloise's approach to style and wellness is equal parts real and refreshing.

What’s one trend you’re genuinely loving right now, and one you think is already feeling overdone?

"There is just something about autumn/winter fashion that hits different. The layering, the winter coats, jackets and boots! I love it all. One trend I am genuinely loving right now is an elevated bomber jacket. I think they look so chic with a white tee and jeans, tailored pants and thrown on with almost any outfit. I also love a classic trench coat. That being said, I actually still don't own one myself as I want it to be one of those timeless pieces I hold on to forever, and I havent yet found the perfect one. Another trend I still stand by is Chocolate brown being the new black. I'll never stop wearing it."

"This is probably the millennial in me talking, but low-rise jeans are just not for me. To be honest, I do see women wearing low-rise and absolutely rocking it and I wish that was me. I sadly just can't pull them off so, selfishly I think its time to bring back the mid and high-rise jeans. Thank you."

What style of sunglasses feel most relevant to you heading into the cooler months?

"My current style obsession is The Petra. I love the sleek, slim design of them - they make any outfit instantly more stylish. I just think sunglasses in general do so much to complete an outfit. I have The Petra in the Tort but love the mushroom too. I think they are the perfect style for the cooler months too. Just imagine wearing a trench and some boots, then throwing on your pair of Petras. Chic af!"

What is something high maintenance that you do to stay low maintenance?

"Let's be honest, behind every 'low maintenance' woman is a whole heap of 'high maintenance' beauty treatments that make them that way. For me its not just the regular brow laminations and nail appointments, but to be honest, it's more about my wellness and health habits. If I don't move my body every single day - whether that's going to the gym, walking or going to pilates, get my 10kk steps in and have my morning coffee, I am simply not my best self. Gym/movement, 10k steps, taking my naturopathic supplements, drinking 2-3L of water, eating mostly wholefoods and getting my protein in daily, those are my real high maintenance to be low maintenance habits."
